What are you looking for in an industrial tech founder?
Ambition and unique insights into an industry or a problem. Beyond that, I want stamina, because building is long and mostly unglamorous.
What did you do before Runway?
McKinsey taught me how to think, Dignio taught me how to build. During my time at McKinsey, I learnt how to build strategies on themes such as M&A, digital sales and organizational transformation. Joining Dignio, my title was business development, but I literally did everything from writing JSON code and product development to sales and marketing.
What are you known for at RunwayVC?
Looking past the pitch. I don’t care much for fancy slides, I’m always digging for the essence of what’s actually there.
What are you obsessing over right now?
How AI is going to change our lives. Depending on the day, I go from “mild dent in how we work” to “flying cars and colonizing Mars.” Ask me tomorrow, I’ll probably have a different answer.
